I’ve been thinking about having a solo date once a month for each of the kids with each parent. I know this would definitely benefit my two older girls, but I wonder if twins need that alone time as much. So I asked my mom, an identical twin herself, and she said in her experience it never donned on her to have separate time without her twin.

All that they know is being with each other, so not having the other one around is not as enjoyable. My mom and her twin live on opposite sides of the country and have for decades and it has never seemed normal to them. They long for each other’s company, never the other way around.

So I ask, fellow twin moms (and anyone else), what has been your experience in giving your twins individual time?
